Process transforms any journey into a series of small steps, taken one at a time, to reach any goal. It transcends time, teaches patience, rests on a solid foundation of careful preparation and embodies trust in our unfolding potential.
The process of bringing together an organization’s leadership and stakeholders to build a shared vision for the future is the most important part of strategic planning. Without a strategic plan, organizations and their leaders often struggle in prioritization decision-making wasting valuable personnel and financial resources that don’t advance the organization’s mission. The result of these poor decisions distracts from fulfilling the organization’s mission and often blurs the organization’s core purpose. This negatively affects everything, and everyone affiliated with the non-profit.
As a consultant, I assist the organization with the key priorities necessary for an effective planning process. My role is to oversee the organization’s strategic planning process, manage stakeholder participation and ensures successful execution. This typically includes developing a workplan and timeline, assisting with stakeholder feedback processes, facilitating strategic planning sessions or retreats, facilitating consensus building, and preparing a final written strategic plan.
